DAN MARINO & LAS OLAS RIVERHOUSE
Dolphins legend Dan Marino has signed on for Fort Lauderdale's
Las Olas River House and will be promoting the condominium
project as an owner.
Marino has signed a contract to purchase one of the 287 units
at the 42-story luxury tower: "We originally stopped
in the sales center as buyers shopping the property because
we love the ambience and nonstop activity of downtown Fort
Lauderdale. My wife and I wanted a 'weekend pad' for ourselves
and our friends".
The project is under construction at 333 Las Olas Way and
had buyers for about 65 percent of the units as of December,
according to a securities filing by Tarragon. The New York-based
real estate investors own a 70 percent share in the project,
backing Zipes, the lead developer.
Units in the main tower, home of the Marino unit, are selling
for more than $1 million. The first tower will finish next
summer, and Tarragon said it has an estimated sellout value
of more than $260 million.
